G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè (/ˈg̃ihɘ/ /co/ [pure; wholesome] [rocket]) is a subtropical Small Town located in the Z̄upaguv Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè was founded by Natsad Dyegfê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè receives an average of 71 cm/y (27 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 3 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 6330 m (20767 ft) above sea level.

Overview

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 16th century in summer of the year 1488, by Natsad Dyegfê. The establishment of G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the premissive gravel streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè's robustly designed timber walls are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. On top of this is an unmistakable feeling that G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè is in this condition because there is something terribly wrong with the town. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè long.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has a Department of Firefighters, which is responsible for organizing fire fighting efforts during a fire and enforcing local ordinances relating to fire safety.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has a Hall of Slayers, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

There’s a relatively new religion in G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by dynamic designs and complex architectural plan forms; intended to heighten feelings of motion and sensuality, and frequently based on the oval. It made extensive and extreme use of: Grandeur, Contrast, Curves and twists, Rich surface treatments, Gilded statuary, Bright colors, Vividly painted ceilings, Fragmented or deliberately incomplete elements, Large-scale frescoes, Dramatic central projections on an external facade, the use of plaster, stucco, or marble finishing, Illusory effects such as trompe l’oeil, and pear-shaped domes. While beloved by the nobility, the common folk tended to despise the style due to the massive consumption of resources required for even a small building constructed in this style.

In G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.

The Stag, Emperor near G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

G̈ihê-co Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves consuming a local toxin to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 1 via throat chanting.
